The strain

The pigeons that were responsible for this progress, were merely of the Gebr.Janssen strain from
fanciers in this area. But André also purchased pigeons in Belgium. He mainly succeeded with pigeons
of the Belgian champion Karel Saelen from Mol. Karel had the real Janssen pigeons; he was a friend of
the “mannekes” from Arendonk. In those days, also Karel Meulemans obtained his most important
pigeons at Karel Saelen’s! The “Blauwe Janssen” is a pigeon from the loft of Karel Saelen in Mol. A
sister of hers was a very good hen in the early seventies at André’s: the “Blauwe Miet”, named after
Karel Saelen’s wife. Also the most expensive pigeon of the total auction of the old master from Mol
went to André’s loft: the “Bonte Saelen” of 1984 and that bird still provides good youngsters up to
1999! He is a grandson of the “Oude Merckx” of Gebr.Janssen.

An old very good direct Gebr.Janssen-cock of Goede Malie (Son Geeloger) x Blauwke (Daughter
Blauwke of 019), so a grandson of the Geeloger, gave very good breeders! His best daughter is Jong
Janssen 4000, an excellent breeding hen. She is granddam of Wonder Woman (1st National Ace
Pigeon of The Netherlands) and Blue Flash (1st NPO Montluçon 584 km with a lead of 15 minutes
against 5178 p.)!!

André also purchased cross-breed from the lofts of his strongest competitors in the Dutch Kempen.
Those were pigeons in which the Gebr.Janssen-blood dominated. He obtained pigeons from Gebr.de
Wit, Gebr.Heesters, W.Geboers, P.v.Gompel, H.v.d.Mierden, P.v.Riet, B.Weijers and Gebr.Borgmans.

The relation between him and Jos van Limpt-De Klak was excellent, so the last years of Jos' life a lot
of super pigeons from all his best breeders were purchased. All top bloodlines are on the loft now:
children and grandchildren of the lines of the famous 613, Oude Merckx, Jonge Merckx, Marietje,
Donkere Toon, Dikke v/d 20, Oude Witoger, Lichte v.'74, Afgekeurde Janssen, Schouwman, Raket
Janssen, Blauwe 63, Knook, Chantilly-duif, which is dam of famous 613, full brother of most expensive
pigeon of the sale after Jos Klak's dead etc.!!

Other brilliant pigeons came from Hans Eijerkamp and Sons of Brummen of their world-famous
Gebr.Janssen-race (grandchildren of James Bond, the Wonderboys 05 and 06 and Annie, and direct
children of Ronaldo, Commander Bond, Ben, Rocky, Testarossa, Hans, Wonderboy 06, Flits, Jonge
Generaal, etc.)!!

The latest years, pigeons of the Gebr.Janssen strain from many peak-pigeons of Hans Eijerkamp &
sons joined the loft: grandchildren of James Bond, Annie, Wonderboys 05 and 06 and direct children
of Ronaldo, Commander Bond, Ben, Rocky, Testarossa, Hans, Wonderboy 06, Flits, Jonge Generaal,
Ché, Prima Vera, etc.!!

Regularly pigeons of top class have been purchased of good fanciers:
VIP-hen of D.Daems Balen-Wezel (B), Dionysius of A.Hoevenaars & Zn Uden, Kras Maria of
E.v.Steenbergen Arendonk (B), Blauwe Janus of Borgmans Bros Reusel, children of Fighter (3x in top
ten of nationals) of J.Raaijmakers Eersel, etc.

The best breeders 1990-2000 have been Witoogbultje, Goede 499, Super 380 and Super 106, they
are the basic of Boscheind Flyers!!

In all those years these worldclass breeders have given many super stars!!!
